Job Title:

Maintenance Planner

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to maintain engineering spares stock levels, issue stock, process quotations and purchase requisitions, manage planned preventative maintenance schedules, capture job cards, and follow up on orders. The role also ensures that up-to-date Engineering KPI information is communicated electronically and displayed on visual boards.

Responsibilities:

Create, maintain, and track planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems and schedules
Print and schedule PPM job cards to ensure maintenance schedules remain up to date
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Work closely with artisans to ensure lean manufacturing principles are followed
Ensure all job cards are closed on the system upon completion of work
Keep planned preventative maintenance schedules updated and accurate
Maintain high housekeeping standards across all working areas
Perform additional duties as reasonably required
Conduct monthly safety audits
Ensure maintenance team safety audit reports are current and up to date
Ensure compliance with group and local safety standards, policies, and procedures
Report all incidents and near misses promptly
Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all tasks
Demonstrate strong attention to detail

Qualifications and Skills:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science, or equivalent qualification
Engineering qualification or trade certification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Good planning and organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving ability and self-motivated attitude
Strong prioritisation and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Ability to complete tasks effectively and accurately
Computer literate, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Syspro
Knowledge of ISO quality and environmental systems and techniques (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)
Exposure to a manufacturing environment.

Technical Illustrator

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a Technical Illustrator / Manual Designer with experience in developing high-quality technical illustrations and manuals for mechanical mining equipment. The role supports operations, maintenance, training, and compliance by translating complex engineering information into clear, accurate visual and written documentation.

Responsibilities:

Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical illustrations, including exploded views, assemblies, and schematics for underground mining machinery.
Design and compile operator manuals, maintenance and service manuals, parts catalogues, and technical training documentation.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure technical accuracy.
Maintain document control, version management, and updates in line with engineering changes.
Ensure all documentation complies with OEM standards, MHSA requirements, and internal quality systems.
Liaise with Engineering, Production, Service, and Training teams to gather and validate technical input.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Certificate in Technical Illustration, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
3–5 years’ experience in technical illustration and manual design within a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
Proven experience producing manuals for mechanical or industrial machinery.
Proficiency in tools such as:
- SolidWorks Composer
- SolidWorks or Inventor
- AutoCAD
- Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies and engineering drawings.
Excellent written and visual communication skills in English.

Summary

Job Title:

Senior Wetland Ecologist.

Qualification:

Relevant BSc (Hons) Degree preferred, Higher degree advantageous.

Must have full Pr.Sci.Nat. i.e. a paid-up registered member of SACNASP, within a relevant ecology discipline.

Minimum Requirements:

5-7 years practical experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on wetland ecology, including:

Demonstrable experience in the following:

Delineating wetland habitats through application of the DWAF wetland and riparian delineation manual,

Classification of wetland types

Assessment of wetland condition and functionality using the latest WET Series tools

Determination of wetland buffers

Development of wetland offsets aligned with the SANBI & DWS offset guidelines

Application of the GN4167 risk assessment

Demonstrable experience of applying lender requirements, particularly IFC Performance Standard 6, advantageous.

Experience in project management

Experience in managing/supervising individuals

Membership of other relevant professional or voluntary organization/s advantageous.

High levels of flexibility and motivation.

Full driving license and Valid Passport essential.

Strong knowledge of wetland ecology and application of the wetland delineation and assessment guideline/tools.

Strong (proven) project management and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills including strong technical report writing and presentation skills.

Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to deliver work on time.

Ability to manage personal time and productivity under pressure, understanding personal fiscal responsibility and productivity in a consulting environment.

Strong understanding of the Microsoft software suite. Other software literacy beneficial (e.g. ArcGIS, Google Earth).
