Qualifications and Skills:

• Ensure PLC and SCADA systems are fully operational to minimise downtime and faults within the refinery.
• Evaluate and analyse failures in hardware, software, and control systems.
• Implement PLC programming changes, maintain backups of electronic files, and update technical drawings as required.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, and adjust electrical, electronic, and pneumatic process control systems across production, laboratory, office, and utility areas.
• Perform PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial robot programming (Fanuc/Kawasaki), including installation of work cells and panel wiring.
• Conduct fault finding and repairs on PLCs, industrial robots (Fanuc/Kawasaki), servo drives, HMIs, and related equipment.
• Perform parameter and software backups for plant machinery, including axis drives and Cognex cameras.
• Supervise and support departmental associates and assistants effectively.
• Ensure strict adherence to SHEQ legislation, including safety standards and machine maintenance, and complete safety documentation as required.
• Assist with new installations, commissioning, and testing of equipment.
