Job Title:
Automation Technician Field Service

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking two skilled Automation Technician (Field Service) professionals to join their team, with roles based in Kimberley (Northern Cape) and Bellville (Western Cape).

This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who thrives in a field-based environment and enjoys working with advanced automation technologies. The role focuses on the installation, commissioning, and testing of automation and fertigation systems, while also providing technical support to colleagues, dealers, and end-users.

You will also play a key role in supporting technical projects and proof of concepts (POCs), contributing to innovative and efficient system solutions.

 Requirements: 

• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in a similar technical environment
• Valid driver’s licence
• Strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
• Automation irrigation systems
• Fertigation systems
• Controllers, cabinets, and integrated solutions
• Radio control systems
• IoT (Internet of Things) systems
• Experience in testing software, hardware, and internet-based interfaces
• Practical experience in panel wiring and system integration
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively in the field

Qualification:

• National Diploma or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering
