- 5–8 years’ experience (typically aged 27–35)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good understanding of digital and analog electronics
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong PC literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid, non-restricted driver’s licence
- Valid South African passport
Desirable:
- Hands-on experience setting up and servicing instrumentation equipment
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
- Exposure to PLC programming or other software development environments
- Understanding of industrial communication networks and protocols
- Previous commissioning or field service experience (preferably on mine sites)
- Understanding of statistical concepts
- Knowledge of control systems and process control principles
- Familiarity with pumps and variable speed drives
- Understanding of gold leaching processes (advantageous, not essential)
- Full training will be provided in Johannesburg, South Africa at the commencement of employment
- Role requires extensive local and international travel
