Quality Assurance Manager

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality control operations and ensure products consistently meet the highest standards across global markets. This is a pivotal opportunity for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic, seasonal environment and is passionate about driving quality excellence.

Responsibilities: 

  • Own and maintain QC reporting systems, including Ketendo and D6, ensuring data integrity and actionable reporting insights.
  • Lead, train, and manage QC teams, including oversight of third-party inspectors and seasonal resource planning.
  • Translate customer requirements into robust quality specifications, maintain SOPs, and ensure label compliance.
  • Assess and manage claims, provide evidence-based feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with producers.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, chair weekly quality meetings, and collaborate closely with Technical, Sales, and Operations teams.
  • Provide technical input into budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.

  • Comfortable with extended travel and periods away from home.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant field (essential).
  • 5–7 years’ experience in fruit quality control.
  • 3–4 years’ management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and the export fruit industry.
  • Experience within the soft fruit industry and exposure to QC systems will be advantageous.
